Our objective is to guide the family in finding options where the student will not only get admitted, but thrive and find success once on campus.
October To-Do List
Seniors
- If applicable, make sure to send your official test scores via College Board or ACT.
- Put the finishing touches on your essays and applications, and have someone who understands the college essay proofread them.
- Parents: Complete the CSS Profile for Financial Aid if your child’s colleges require it. The FAFSA will not be available until December this year as it is being revised.
- Begin reflecting on what you are seeking in a college experience. Think about your strengths, areas of academic interest and potentially exciting careers.
- If you are eligible for testing accommodations at school, such as extended time, apply early to the College Board and to the ACT to secure accommodations for standardized tests.
- Visit at least one college this fall, attend the information session, and go on the tour to begin educating yourself about colleges and the admissions process.
