Welcome Sally McGinty To The Educational Advocates Team
Sarah (called “Sally”) McGinty joined the Educational Advocates team this month and will be working with prospective MBA, law and other graduate school applicants, as well as assisting with college application essays.
Sally is a teacher, writer, researcher and educational consultant. She has served as English department chair at a large public high school, as associate director of admission at a small liberal arts college, as a writing instructor at several institutions including Harvard College, and as a University supervisor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 1993-2005.
McGinty’s books include Writing Your College Application Essay, 50 College Admission Directors Speak to Parents, 美国大学申请论文, Power Talk and The College Application Essay. She has provided workshops and training at the Brookings Institute, the Fulbright Commission, Philips Andover Academy, Duke University, the Harvard Medical School, and Fidelity Investment Management, among others. Her research was recognized by NACAC with the John Muir award in 2002 and she has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, U. S. News and World Report, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and on NPR. She holds master’s degrees from New York University and Northwestern University and a Ph.d. from NYU.
