College in the News – Tweeting in Class (for Education and Profit)

While texting and using Facebook and Twitter in class are often frowned upon by professors, some classes are encouraging students to use social media to publicize businesses. In exchange for this, the universities sometimes receive funding or other compensation from companies and students get a chance to build their resumes (and might receive perks like smartphones with unlimited service).
