This is the view of the Green Mountains from the campus of Middlebury College in Vermont.
Middlebury is world renowned for its international, foreign language and environmental studies. It boasts a 10% international student population. Middlebury is also home to the Bread and Loaf writer’s program and annual conference which attracts professional writers from all over the world.
Students benefit from
close relationships with their professors and have the benefit of a January term where they stay on campus and take one class or complete an off-campus internship. More than 60% of Middlebury students study abroad.
Although the campus has its own nearby ski mountain, you can be perfectly happy as a Middlebury student if you are not a fan of snow sports. Athletics (Division III) are a popular campus diversion, particularly men’s and women’s ice hockey. Harry Potter fans should note that this campus also founded Quidditch as a club sport.
